With the gracious support of the Makivik Corp., Wired On Words proudly presents:

tusarniq - a festival of Words, Music and Images

Tusarniq is an Inuttitut word meaning “beautiful sound.” It is also the name of a two-day festival of words, music and images happening in Montreal this November 5th and 6th. This second edition of Tusarniq is a crossroads festival where indigenous artists perform alongside their contemporaries in an intimate and collaborative atmosphere.

This year the festival features top Nunavik entertainers mixing with the fabulous Kinnie Starr, award-winning poets, singers and photographers, throat-singers, and the first Nunavik Artist in Residence, audio artist Nimalan Yoganathan. The exotic and beautiful sounds of both music and language mix with images of a vast and beautiful territory most Quebecers and Canadians have never seen.
